As well as acting for local governments, throughout his career, Julius has represented clients from a wide range of industries, including property development, tourism and hospitality, infrastructure and mining and heavy industry, where he managed subdivision and heritage approvals and regulatory and environmental compliance.

Hendrik van Aswegen joined Borrello Graham Lawyers from DLA Piper in August 2015 as Special Counsel but was quickly elevated to partner. Hendrik specialises in the areas of property, planning, commercial and administrative law.
Hendrik graduated from the University of South Africa with a distinction for a Baccalaureus Procurationis law degree. In 2001, he was admitted as an attorney in South Africa, after having achieved the highest average results in the attorney’s admission examinations for that year. Hendrik was also a partner at a leading South African commercial litigation firm, Van Hulsteyns Attorneys for five years before relocating to Perth.
Hendrik’s broad areas of legal expertise include advising a wide range of clients such as landowners, property developers and businesses in relation to property and contract law, administrative law and dispute resolution.
The addition of these two new partners is part of Borrello Graham Lawyers’ targeted and strategic growth plans. In a very competitive market, the Firm’s senior team is going from strength to strength. Both Julius and Hendrik bring additional and significant depth and expertise to the firm, which allows us to expand the range of services we can provide for our local, national and international clients.
Strategically, the appointment of Julius and Hendrik as partners aligns with the firm’s ethos, that our clients are entitled to expect excellence in everything we do and client satisfaction will always remain the cornerstone of our business.
Our goal is to continue along our clear strategic path of setting a new standard in order to deliver exceptional legal solutions.
Thank you for your ongoing support and we look forward to working with you in 2016 and beyond.
